Metro Roofing Newsletter — Issue 02
Issue two arrives with summer underway and our calendar fuller than a July garage sale. This season's theme: what hail actually does, and why the aftermath is not always what it looks like from the driveway.
After every hail corridor event, our phones ring for weeks. Here is the honest guidance we give every caller. First, granule loss on asphalt shingles is assessed from the ground by a professional, not from a ladder by the homeowner. Second, dented gutters and downspouts are often the clearest evidence of hail size. Third, photographs taken within days matter enormously for your claim, and we document everything when we inspect.
We also answer the question behind the question: will insurance cover it? Policies differ, deductibles are real, and we will walk your claim paperwork with you, the same way we have for hundreds of Minnesota homeowners. What we will not do is chase storms door to door. Local companies live with their reputations; out-of-town crews live with their invoices.
Stay safe on ladders, and when in doubt, the inspection is free. That has not changed since issue one.
